BIBLE STUDY
Wednesday, 12:00 noon
Led by the Rector and an occasional guest, the discussion will encourage reading the Bible with historical and literary considerations in order to hear what is being said to us today. Come join us at 12:00 noon on Wednesdays in the Conference Room.

EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY (EFM)
Beginning each Fall
Education for Ministry is a four-year course of study through the seminary at Sewanee. Students commit to one year at a time. In the first year, they study the Old Testament; year two covers the New Testament; year three studies Church History; and year four rounds out the picture with Contemporary Theology. Class time is also spent in theological reflection, a process of learning to see God at work in all the little moments of daily life. For additional information contact Barry McCrory or Diane Reddoch.

MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENT MINISTRY

NEW TESTAMENT BIBLE STUDY
The Acts of the Apostles
Sunday 10:15 a.m. – 11:05 a.m.
Led by Barry McCrory, the New Testament Study class focuses on scripture by examining four traditional relationships:
- relation to God
- relation to self
- relation to significant others
- relation to the world
We will focus on Scripture as a means of guiding us in our discernment and decision-making. Along with Prayer (our personal relationship with God) and the Body of Christ (the study group), Scripture will be a part of this three-part check and balance system that will light our path on our Christian journey.
We will also study the biblical setting, authorship, and content of ACTS and how this book relates to other parts of scripture, both Old and New Testament.
POPCORN THEOLOGY
The fourth Saturday of each month at 4:00 p.m. we gather for pizza and movies. We plan a different film for each age group and then have age-appropriate ways to reflect on the films. The little ones have a brief discussion and then some fun crafts while older youth and adults engage in deeper discussion about the theological themes in popular movies. Check the Announcements page for the upcoming film. For additional information contact Curtis Finn.
RECTOR’S FORUM
Usually a three-to-five-week series of current or historical seasonal topics led by the Rector or occasional guests. Check the Announcements page for current offerings.
